* Hartford Cavaliers were suspended by the League on August 1, 2008, per SASL Rules & By-Laws H.5, when after several reminders they failed to pay discipline fines for walking off the field during a game on June 1, 2008 and forfeiting that game. Additionally, Hartford Cavaliers withdrew from the League on August 2, 2008 having only played 7 games. Since this is less than a half season (a total of 18 games), then all 7 games Hartford Cavaliers played in are null and void and the scores have been removed from the standings as per SASL Rules & By-Laws J.2(b). ** Newtown Salty Dogs were expelled from the League on March 7, 2009, per SASL Rules & By-Laws H.6, J.10 and L.14, after it was discovered they had registered an under-age player on September 16th, 2008. They forfeit 3-0 every game played on or after September 16th, 2008, a total of five games: (i) Hamden Playwright 4-1 win becomes a 3-0 loss, (ii) Stratford United 4-2 loss becomes a 3-0 loss (better goal difference), (iii) Colchester SC 3-1 win becomes a 3-0 loss, (iv) Waterbury Albanians 1-5 loss score stays the same (better than 3-0) and (v) Newington Portuguese 8-0 win becomes a 3-0 loss.
